How to give a new taste to mutton by frying it.
Mutton surprises with it's unique flavour and texture. Don't knock it till you try it!
Wash the mutton chops, drain well. Pound the coriander powder, cumin powder, ginger and garlic till fine. Add water to the paste and place in a saucepan with the coconut milk, mutton chops and water. Bring to boil.
Add tamarind juice to the mutton mixture with salt and sugar to taste.
Bring to boil again, reduce heat and simmer for about 1½ hours till the meat is tender.
Remove mutton from heat. Heat the oil in another saucepan and when it is hot, fry the chops for 3 minutes on each side till browned. Drizzle the thick sauce on the chops and you're ready to serve.
