9 Out-of-this-World Beautiful Smoothie Bowls to Inspire you to Kickstart Healthy Living!

Smoothie Bowls are the Food-Goals of Instagram, and besides looking almost too pretty to eat, we can pack a lot of superfoods into a bowl. Superfoods are produce that is rich in phytochemicals. Along with essential nutrients, superfoods can heal because they contain potent and unique compounds beyond vitamins and minerals that can protect our immune system, stop rogue cells from reproducing and even kill harmful bacteria in our gut. Basically, a superfood’s nutrient composition (vitamins, antioxidants and minerals) is higher than what the body's basic nutritional needs for survival require.

Examples of superfoods are Blueberries, Goji Berries, Chia Seeds, Spirulina, Kale, Kiwi, Pomegranates, Oily Fish such as Salmon or Sardines, Acai, Green Tea, Broccoli and even Pure Cacao.

Research has shown that the ideal diet is one that is largely plant-based with a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and plenty of fish. However, sticking to this diet, especially in a country where hawker centres seduce you with the intoxicating smells of laksa, can be an intimidating goal to reach.

However, we’ve got some inspiration for you to kickstart your journey!
