WHAT TO DO FOR MOTHER’S DAY

Besides the traditional cards, flowers, and breakfast in bed, here’s a list of cool things to do to surprise your mum this Mother’s Day!

Plan a Picnic

Pack a spread of her favourite foods, a good bottle of her favourite wine (or drink, if she doesn’t consume alcohol) and a nice big blanket to spread out the love! Take your picnic to your favourite park, or you can even take it to your own backyard! Wherever you decide to go, it is an experience that she is sure to appreciate.

Go on a Float at the Palm Ave Float Club

Not the pool float, but at a floatation tank! Treat your mum to a relaxing hour in a float pod, which is a sensory-deprivation experience that is said to help relax the mind, relieve stress and help put your muscles on the fast track to recovery!

Bake a Fancy Dessert at Baker’s Brew

Up your dessert game and treat you and your mum to a Baking Class Cookoff! Learn to make trendy desserts such as lava cakes, mille-crepe cakes, macarons or even unicorn and character-themed cakes at Baker’s Brew. Each workshop takes three hours, and best of all, you get to take home your creations!

Have an Art-Jam

If you have a creative mum that loves to do arts and crafts, why not take her out for an art jam? Museo at Sentosa Cove is an art-jamming studio and restaurant rolled into one so you can treat your Mum to some good-eats too! Each art-jam session also entitles you to a complimentary signature beverage from the restaurant so you can sip away at a good cuppa joe while letting those creative thoughts flow!

Charm her with Culture

If your mum is artsy, but prefers to take in the sights and sounds rather than participate in the arts, why not take out to see the latest play or head over to a local exhibit? Check out the A List  for a list of ideas. This comprehensive arts guide also hosts monthly giveaways so you and your Mum can score yourselves a free set of tickets to the next arts event!
