Quick and easy to make, Liu Wei Tang (Six Combination Soup) is chock full of flavours and nutrients. To appeal to both the young and old, this video recipe teaches you how to use liu wei tang to make bite-size agar agar.

Ingredients

packet (120 grams)
Liu Wei Tang Mix
1
packet (10 grams)
Konyaku/Unflavoured Agar Agar Powder
1
litre
Water
Rock Sugar
Wolfberries
, (for garnishing)

Directions

Rinse and Soak dried herbs for about 10 mins.
Boil water and add the soaked herbs. Lower the fire after 5 mins and allow to simmer for 45 mins.
Sieve the soup when the seeds are no longer hard. Set aside the ingredients.
Add rock sugar to taste.
Add agar agar powder to the clear soup and stir with a whisk briskly until most of the tiny bubbles has disappeared.
Pour the mixture. Pour in till half way, add the ingredients then fill up the rest of the mould. This ensures the ingredients don’t sink to the bottom.
