No steamboat session would be completed without the dipping condiments. These sauces recipes will add flavours to your tastebuds and make your steamboat complete.

Thai Suki Sauce

Ingredients:

2 pieces fermented bean curd

4 tablespoons bottle chili sauce

2 tablespoons sugar

1 lime juice

2 tablespoons water

2 tablespoons sesame oil

2 clove garlic (chop)

2 chili padi (chop)

1 stalk coriander (chop)

2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds

*bottled chili, please get Maggie brand

Directions:

1. In a mixing bowl, add fermented bean curd, chilli sauce,

sugar, sesame oil, chopped garlic, chilli padi, toasted

sesame seeds, lime juice, water and coriander.

2. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

 

Japanese Ponzu Sauce

Ingredients:

1/2 orange juice

1/2 lemon juice

2 tablespoons mirin

1/2 cup Japanese soya sauce

2 tablespoons Japanese rice vinegar

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 red chili (chop) (optional)

2 tablespoons radish (grate)

1 stalk spring onion (chop)

Directions:

1. Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl until combined.

2. Ready to serve

 

Chinese Steamboat Sauce

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons sesame sauce

1 tablespoons sugar

1/4 cup soya sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

2 tablespoons black vinegar

1 tablespoons sesame oil

2 tablespoons chili oil

2 tablespoons water

2 clove garlic (chop)

1 stalk Chinese celery (chop)

1 stalk spring onion (chop)

2 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Directions:

1. Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl till combined.

2. Ready to serve.
